Fearless Female Conqueror

Jenisa de Castro is a California born actor, dancer, singer,

model, vocal teacher, and certified healer.

Jenisa was placed in dance and singing lessons when she

was very young; beginning her artistic journey at the age of

5. By the time she turned 12 years old, she officially began

her entertainment career as a professional Polynesian dancer

and singer. Eventually, Jenisa became infatuated with the

world of theater and musical theater as well, and at the age

of 17, she found herself at NYU Tisch School of the Arts with

a major in Drama. Through a rigorous, four-year education in theater, musical theater, and film acting, she really began to delve into her own humanity, as well as her individuality as an artist. From there, her world was opened up to a variety of artistic avenues such as writing music, choreographing plays and musicals, and now teaching singing lessons to her own students, through her company JdC Voice. Along her many pathways and avenues, Jenisa has also become certified in promoting the release and reformation of the "Chi" force within and around the human body and mind, and utilizes this practice everyday to further her artistic career.

Some of her recent credits and adventures include: Live in Theater (Theater Company | Actor), The Cave: A Folk Opera produced by The Daughters Collective (Musical | Choreographer), JdC Voice (Vocal Studio | Founder and Singing Teacher), The Space Bandies (Band | Lead Singer and Lyricist), Into the Night (Short Film | Actress), and One Spirit, Many Souls (Music and Dance Festival | Singer and Polynesian Dancer). She is thrilled to be a part of so many beautiful projects and she looks forward to working on many more!
